She can see right through you!

How did you come up with your number?

My number is the year that Madame Curie won the Nobel Prize, the first woman to win it!

How did you come up with your derby name?

Well, I had a little help! I am a science teacher so I wanted something that paid homage to science and strong, revolutionary women. Mr. Pantz, ARRG Jeerleader, actually came up with the name one night in a Soulard courtyard!

How and when did you get involved in roller derby?

I started derby in April 2009. I was actually the last group of newbies in which everyone was accepted. Now they have tryouts and you have to have minimum skill requirements to become an ARRG member.

Any serious injuries?

Not really. I have had a rotator cuff strain and a bone bruise on my tibia. My tailbone is in a constant state of dull pain, but not too bad!

Do you have a rival on the track?

Not yet!

Favorite position to play?

I like to block and play in the back of the pack. B2 or even B1 with the pivot is fun!

Worst penalty ever committed?

Probably blocking out of bounds!

Any pre-bout rituals?

Yes. I clean my wheels and get my gear together. Also, I like to do knee conditioning on the treadmill to get my legs warmed up beforehand, too.

What kind of skates and wheels do you roll on?

I currently skate on Riedell 265's and Radar Tuners. I have some Sugar wheels for pushers on the left side of my skates.

Most exciting moment in your derby career?

So far it has been playing in the St. Chux Chix Bout last summer! It was so much fun and our team was working well together.
