How did you come up with your derby name?

So, I’m 5”7 and my husband is 6”1 and we have the exact same leg length!  I’m all gams! (Back in the 30-40's people like Clark Gable used it to describe Rita Hayward's legs, if only I were her.)  I’m originally from outside of Kansas City and it doesn’t matter where you go you always hear “We’re not in Kansas anymore”.  Glinda the Good Witch just felt like it fit!  Though I wear her and her sister the Bad Witch on my helmet.

How did you come up with your number?

My old area code is 816

How and when did you get involved in roller derby?

I just started this last summer when they were holding the training camps to get ready for the league tryouts.  I’ve been searching for something that I could become part of a team again as well as have fun while getting some stress out!

Any serious injuries?

No serious injuries.

Favorite position to play?

I really like being the jammer, but right now since I’m still developing my skills I want to try everything.

Any pre-bout rituals?

I must listen to Janis Joplin, apply a little red war paint with a twist of glitter.
