Before derby, I was 350 pounds. How did you come up with your derby name?
My goal is to always dominate on the track. How and when did you get involved in roller derby?
I wanted to play derby so I could hit people without getting arrested. Where I was living in South Florida at that time, there was no derby. So I started a league so that I could play. Haven't stopped skating (and hitting people) since.Any serious injuries?
Blown out knee, lots of broken fingers, cracked nose, torn hamstring. When you play derby you just get used to being in pain most of the time. I'm not sure I'd know what it's like not to hurt.Do you have a rival on the track?
Jack U Up before she retired. She hits you so hard on one side that you feel it all the way on your other side. Eli Wallop is currently probably one of the few blockers who can consistently knock the wind out of me. Once she hit me so hard I went into a coughing fit.Favorite position to play?
I don't really care as long as I'm getting to annihilate people.Worst penalty ever committed?
I'm don't usually pull horribly egregious penalties, I just commit a lot of them. If I'm not in the box a lot, I know that I'm not playing aggressively. I was actually pretty surprised I only got ejected once last season! When your goal is to take people out, penalties come with the territory.Any pre-bout rituals?
I have a series of foods and drinks I consume for optimum energy. I usually watch some game footage but make sure that I stay relaxed. It's important for me not to get myself too pumped up and expend a lot of energy. I listen to some girl rock on the way. I get there in plenty of time to test out wheels and get taped up. I try to listen to my ipod while warming up. I don't like to go into a game overly warm. What kind of skates and wheels do you roll on?
Wicked 265s... wheels are dependent on the floor type, the temperature in the venue, and how I'm skating that particular day. I keep a duffle bag full of different kinds of wheels so I'm always prepared. Most exciting moment in your derby career?
I remember first transferring to ARRG. It was pretty exciting be surrounded by so many solid, experienced skaters. And at the time, I felt like they were bees swarming around me... they were so fast and agile compared to what I was used to. I couldn't even mentally keep up much less physically. ARRG has brought me so much further in my game through their superior coaching and training.Rebel Skate AllianceBlocker
