Arch Rival Roller Girls 2011-12 Season Championship bouts at Chaifetz Arena

ST. LOUIS, MO - 2/19/12 - The Arch Rival Roller Girls (ARRG), St. Louis' first all-female flat-track roller derby league, are proud to present an inaugural event at the Saint Lous University's Chaifetz Arena. Join us on Saturday, April 28 for the 2012 local season championship, the first flat track roller derby bout held at the St. Louis University's Chaifetz Arena!

How to buy tickets:
Advance ticket prices are VIP Floor (adults only) $20, Bowl (adults) $15, Bowl (kids 10 and under) $6
1) Purchase your tickets in advance in person at the Chaifetz box office M-F 9-5, Sa 10-2. More Information
2) Purchase your tickets in advance online through Metrotix (additional fee applies) via the Chaifetz website.
3) Purchase your tickets at the event in person at the Chaifetz box office. Adult ticket prices will increase to $25 floor/ $20 bowl at the door and seating may not be available in all sections depending on advance sales.

The Chaifetz Arena is located at 1 S. Compton Avenue in St. Louis, MO. Please visit the Chifetz website for directions.

Just a heads up for our fans coming from the East...

MoDot is closing part of Highway 40 downtown this weekend so people coming from the East are going to need to take an alternate route. Westbound 40 will be closed from Broadway to 21st Street except for a couple hours surrounding the Cardinals/Blues games start and end- when they will open one lane. MoDot recommends people use the the McKinley, Martin Luther King or Eads bridges to get into St. Louis and avoid the Poplar Street Bridge to avoid traffic delays. On these routes, motorists would enter MO, continue on Washington Ave., turn left on Jefferson, right on Olive to Compton.

Where to park:
We recommend parking at the Olive/Compton garage, #2 on the Chaifetz parking map. There will be signs out indicating that it is SLU parking with the price $6. Additional parking information can be found on the Chaifetz website.

Event timeline:
Doors will open at 6:00 PM. Seating within each section is general admission. The 3rd place bout (Smashinistas vs. Rebel Skate Alliance) will start at 7:00 PM and the championship bout (Stunt Devils vs. M-80s) will start about 8:30 PM.

The Arch Rival Roller Girls are St. Louis' first and only Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) certified all-female, all-skater owned and operated flat-track roller derby league. They are comprised of two travel teams: the ARRG All-Stars (currently ranked among the top 30 teams in the nation) and the St. Lunachix, as well as 4 local teams. The Arch Rival Roller Girls are extremely active in the St. Louis and surrounding communities, regularly contributing to charitable organizations and events.

Upcoming

All of our games in St. Louis are played at the Midwest Sport Complex, located in Queeny Park, unless noted otherwise. Midwest Sport Complex is located at 570 Weidman Road off of Highway 270.

Visiting Skaters

Driving through the Lou and need to stretch your legs? Drop us a line and you will be more than welcome to come practice with ARRG. All visiting skaters must have insurance and must sign a waiver releasing us from liability in case of injury.

Practices are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
