CHIX OVERPOWER SHADE BRIGADE BY 102 POINTS

(BALLWIN, MO) The primary travel squads of the Arch Rival Roller Girls posted impressive wins over the Chicago Outfit Saturday night at Midwest Sport Hockey in front of 570 rabid derby fans.

In WFTDA-sanctioned action, the ARRG All-Stars, currently ranked eighth in the North Central region, posted a 191-100 victory over the Chicago Outfit Syndicate, the region’s current fifth-ranked squad.

Ahead 77-65 at intermission, Arch Rival capitalized on a 57-0 second period run to gain full control of the bout and boost its record to 8-2 overall.

The victory marked ARRG’s fourth win over a higher-ranked WFTDA league in the last six weeks.

All-Star jammer Mighty Mighty Boston collected 79 points unofficially for Arch Rival, who improved to 8-2 overall with the win.

In the b-team undercard, ARRG’s Saint Lunachix utilized a tight defense to post a 155-53 win over the Chicago Outfit Shade Brigade.

The Chix were able to effectively hold Brigade scoring to only 13 points in the first half. The Chix maintained control throughout in the second half  and post the triple-digit win.

Chic jammer EnYa Nightmare paced the local’s scoring with 82 points. The Lunachix improved to 6-2 with the win.
