PLUS, ALL-STARS SPLIT TEXAS TRIP, UPEND SC #4 HOUSTON
(BALLWIN, MO) Utilizing a 27-0 sprint out of the gates, ARRG’s Saint Lunachix posted a 183-113 victory over the Brewcity Battlestars Saturday night at Midwest Sport Hockey.
With the win, the Chix kept their undefeated home record intact (4-0) in 2012.
EnYa Nightmare’s 23-point bout opening power jam set the tone. The Chix stretched the lead to 51-12 midway through the period after Sly Davinita’s 10-point strike.
The Battlestars literally battled back, slicing the Chix’s lead to 86-67 at intermission.
The Chix took back control of the bout by capitalizing on power jams. Nightmare’s 19-pointer scored at 16:14 pushed the Chix lead to 133-80.
The Lunachix outscored Brewcity in the second half 97-46 to pick up the 70-point win.
Nightmare finished unofficially with 103 points, followed by Brickyard’s 31.

In the evening’s opener, the St. Louis B-Keepers overwhelmed the Carolina Wreckingballs 366-69 to remain undefeated as a franchise.
Also on Saturday, the ARRG All-Stars split a pair of bouts against Texan teams, scoring a major upset in the process.
The All-Stars – ranked eighth in the WFTDA North Central region – notched a 159-138 upset win over South Central #4 Houston on Saturday night. Earlier in the day, ARRG was upended by South Central #1 Texas 210-106 in a closed bout held in Austin.
The Texan split pushed the All-Stars’ record to 7-2 overall.
