ARRG is dedicated to giving back to the St. Louis community. For the 2011-12 season ARRG will provide all raffle proceeds collected during their home bouts to Safe Connections.

Safe Connections

"Safe Connections is the oldest and largest locally-founded agency serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence in the St. Louis region, Safe Connections is the only agency providing integrated counseling and support services for women who have been victimized by domestic violence, sexual assault, rape and/or childhood sexual abuse.Safe Connections was founded in 1976 as a grassroots crisis phone line. Early on, it became obvious that counseling services for victims of abuse were needed, and therapists joined the small staff. Today, Safe Connections’ therapy clients are women and girls who have been physically and emotionally abused in their private relationships, who have been raped or who are adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. In 1988, recognizing that breaking the cycle of violence must include reaching adolescents, a violence prevention curriculum was introduced in schools across the metropolitan area. Since then, more than 100,000 teenagers have learned how to have healthy, violence-free relationships through Safe Connections Project H.A.R.T."

ARRG is also dedicated to helping keep the city of St. Louis clean. We have signed a 3 year contract with the Adopt-a-Highway Program to clean up a section of Highway 55 near Germainia.

Did you know that ARRG is KIVA lender?  Kiva's mission is to connect people, through lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty.  Kiva empowers individuals to lend to an entrepreneur across the globe. By combining microfinance with the internet, Kiva is creating a global community of people connected through lending.  ARRG is very excited to participate in KIVA!  As business women, we can help other women develop businesses. Increasing women in business increases their personal strength and power in the world, thereby creating powerful role models and community players for generations.

Upcoming

All of our games in St. Louis are played at the Midwest Sport Complex, located in Queeny Park, unless noted otherwise. Midwest Sport Complex is located at 570 Weidman Road off of Highway 270.

Visiting Skaters

Driving through the Lou and need to stretch your legs? Drop us a line and you will be more than welcome to come practice with ARRG. All visiting skaters must have insurance and must sign a waiver releasing us from liability in case of injury.

Practices are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
